The use of social media such as Twitter and Facebook in the workplace has exploded in recent years.  With such expansive growth comes problems for employers such as harassment, cyber-bullying and client confidentiality issues.   Unfortunately, use of social media by employees leads to new clients, new business and free marketing.  These two competing interests must be balanced and the first step to any use of these tools in the work place is a proper company policy on the same.  While not the final word on the subject, attached is a sample policy as a start for any company struggling with such issues.
