Update on Minnesota General Industrial Storm water Permit
“Email from Ken Moon, Head of Industrial Storm water Program for Minnesota Pollution Control Agency 1/22/10
Hello ISW workgroup,
It has been a while since we have touched bases with the whole group. I wanted to let you know that we have had some slow downs on the ISW on line application design. It is very close to being functional but, some of the help text and some companion text is not quite ready for an outside review. SO, the good news, you have some unplanned free time. We are canceling the ISW work group testing of the on-line permitting system on the Thursday January 28th. The better news is that we have rescheduled the session for Thursday February 11th 9-noon same location (St Paul, MPCA, training room). We hope you will be able to make it and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
And as a side note, we are still working very hard on the draft permit, the response to comments, guidance, training, and Board items on the permit. We are still waiting for one final element from EPA on the applicability and when we get this it will be shortly thereafter on the web (we’ll send notice). I just don’t want folks to think we are sitting on items that could help everyone in understanding the ISW permit. In fact, it was all these items that help create the slowdown in the on line permit process.
Thanks and hope to see there,
Ken
